Christopher Robin Blum

Christopher Robin Blum says, "Having been an artist my entire life, I often found myself frustrated that my creations did not reflect what I had visualized in my mind. This finally changed when I combined traditional photography with a digital darkroom. I am currently focusing on black and white photography, duo-tones and experimental images of people, places and things." More of Blum's work can be viewed at www.twotone.net

Natacha Sperka at Sierra Pacific Power

After studying at the Academy des Beaux-Arts in Mons, Belgium and later working with children in Brussels, Natacha found herself faced with a new chapter in her life. She began painting as a way of exploring this uncharted territory. She found herself in opposition with the frenetic pace of life, yet unable to disengage herself from it. The only way to escape it was to build a new universe of thoughts, worlds which she inhabits while working on her paintings. Visit her website online at www.natachasperka.com.

Cynthia Anheier at Northern Nevada Imaging (Vistic Diagnostic)

Cynthia Anheier has enjoyed painting for many years, and holds a BFA in fine arts from the University of Massachusetts. She has worked as a graphic artist and interior designer, but her favorite medium of expression is oil painting. She draws her inspiration from many sources and has developed her own expressionistic style, with vibrant colors and unique perspectives. Cynthia currently lives with her family in Reno, and when she is not working on her painting, she tends to her garden. Her website is currently under development, but she can be reached at cynthia.anheier@gmail.com.

Jim Stallings at La Vecchia

After a degree from Central State University and a diploma from City University in London, Stallings embarked on a backpacking odyssey for two years that included more than five hundred miles in the Grand Canyon and the surrounding states ending in Alaska for four months. Stallings then landed on Maui with a backpack and a duffle bag. Stallings hung his first early paintings in restaurants which sold quickly leading to a number of gallery shows. He opened his own gallery in Lahaina.

Stallings has explored the relationship of music and pure color for the whole of his artistic career. Deciding early on to pursue canvases of whimsy and purity, questions about the relationship of music to art led Stallings to paint live on stage with major symphony orchestras. Painting the sound of music was a defining moment in Stallings career.

Stallings' drive to grow further as an artist led him back to the mainland to pursue his love of painting live with symphony orchestras and jazz music. His love of the southwest led him immediately back to the Grand Canyon where land for a studio was purchased as well as a second studio just outside Yosemite. Visit his website at www.jimstallingsfineart.com.
