Edible Reno Tahoe Magazine is helping to organize an event that will raise money for Urban Roots Garden Classrooms, a wonderful nonprofit that teaches kids where their food comes from and builds edible gardens in our schools. They also have an educational community farm they are building on Fourth Street, behind 4th St. Bistro in Reno. We are helping to raise funds for their farm and programs. For the third year we will be holding the event “Art, Food, and Roots”. This year it will be at Cafe de Thai in Reno from 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, March 17th. NVAL 2012 INTERNATIONAL JURIED PHOTOGRAPHY SHOW $1750 IN PRIZE MONEY WITH BOTH A PHYSICAL GALLERY AND ONLINE EXHIBIT. Best of Show is $1000. Raising money for the arts has never been more fun.
