Supporting

Since opening our doors in 1971, Sierra Arts has been committed to improving our community by supporting the arts in numerous programs and events.

We are currently responsible for the coordination of exhibitions at four art galleries in the Reno area, including our own gallery inside the Riverside Artist Lofts. All of the Sierra Arts galleries are free to the public, and provide not only a place for the community to experience art, but a place for artists to showcase their work. In addition to these formal galleries, we also work with local businesses to install exhibitions in the workplace through our Galleries at Work program.

Our gallery also serves as a wonderful venue for live concerts, provided free of charge to the community. These concerts showcase a diverse repertoire of musical performances, ranging from classical to contemporary music.

Of course, these exhibitions and performances would not be possible without the amazing artists in our community, whom we support through grants, the Riverside Artist Lofts, professional development, marketing services, and financial support. Our artists provide not only the art for our events, but the instruction for students, and the palliative care in our healthcare programs.
